Pass under the arched bridge and enter into a cave dug out during the 19th Century in Caumont-L’Eventé – the Souterroscope des Ardoisières.

Walk through 400 metres of underground caves and hear the story of
this old slate mine.
The four huge underground rooms display shadow, light and water effects; admire an underground lake, the ‘Wonders Lake’ and discover the species that live in it.
The display of mineral stones called ‘The Teeth of the Hearth’ will surprise you by its variety, as will the magnificence of the several amethysts, fluorites…
BEWARE : Even in the middle of summer, the temperature of the galleries doesn’t get above 12°C. Wear warm clothes and closed shoes (it is always damp).
